Royal Holloway Students’ Union will be welcoming new arrivals with its Freshers’ Festival which commences on Friday 16 September culminating in the Freshers’ Ball on Saturday 24 September.
“Our Freshers’ Ball will take place on Saturday 24 September. As the event features outdoor music performances, it will be located in the South Quad of Founder’s Building to reduce the risk of noise disturbance. The event will commence at 8pm with a curfew of 2am.
“As with any event of this type, we will be liaising with our partners at Runnymede Borough Council to ensure that any noise disturbance is kept to a minimum. We have retained our independent noise consultants, Joynes Nash, to conduct regular sound monitoring throughout the local area over the course of the week. The consultants will liaise with the council’s environmental health team to minimise the impact on the local community.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the residents’ associations of both Egham and Englefield Green for their continued support and understanding and apologise if this annual event impacts anyone’s evening.”
