Emeritus Professor and alumni included on Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2019

A Royal Holloway Emeritus Professor and three alumni of the university have been recognised on the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2019 for their outstanding contribution and service to the community.

Professor Caroline Mary Barron, Honorary Fellow, supporter and Professor Emerita in the department of history has been awarded an OBE for her services to education.  

Dr Anne Catherine Kemp, Bedford Alumna, BSc Geography, 1984 and Chair at the UK BIM Alliance has been awarded an OBE for her services to Digital Construction Innovation.   

Dr Richard Anthony Hancock, Alumnus, PhD in Chemistry, 1964 and Honorary Fellow, Former Dean of Students and current supporter, has been awarded an MBE for his services to charity and the community in Chichester, West Sussex.        

Molly Cecilia Poulter, Bedford Alumna, BA History and Royal Holloway supporter, has been awarded a BEM for her services to the community in Maidstone, Kent.  

The Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2019 recognises the outstanding achievements of people across the United Kingdom.
