For the second successive year, Royal Holloway, University of London, has risen ten places in The Guardian’s University League Table, placing it at number 22 in this table of UK universities.

Royal Holloway received an overall score of 82 out of 100 for overall student satisfaction with courses, and 83 out of 100 for overall satisfaction with teaching. The university also received one of the highest scores, of 7 out of 10, for its value added score, which compares students’ degree results with their entry qualifications, to show how effectively they are taught.

Professor Paul Layzell, Principal, said, “The rise of 10 places to number 22 in The Guardian’s University League Table reflects Royal Holloway’s commitment to prioritising our students during the turmoil of the pandemic.

“To have followed our rise of ten places in last year’s results with an identical achievement again this year speaks to the dedication and professionalism of our staff, and the resilience and determination of our students to succeed in their academic and personal goals.

“Young people have made tremendous sacrifices during the pandemic, and we know many have had their education disrupted. I believe Royal Holloway’s strong sense of community has helped students and staff alike to navigate this extraordinary period.

“Such a strong rise in this league table is a testament to the accomplishments of our students and staff and the sense of purpose which drives us.”
