Royal Holloway’s overall satisfaction score is 87 per cent, 4per cent above the sector average.

Royal Holloway has also scored higher than 19 of the 22 Russell Group universities which appear in the survey.*

The National Student Survey, which is carried out by the Office for Students and the UK higher education funding bodies, is used by universities and colleges as well as student unions to improve students’ academic experience. It is also used by prospective students to help inform their decision making about which university to choose.

Professor Paul Layzell, Principal of Royal Holloway said: “Once again Royal Holloway has achieved a high score for overall student satisfaction and our results show that we continue to outperform the sector average.

“We place a high value in the quality of the teaching we provide here at Royal Holloway and our scores for teaching excellence demonstrate that the investment we make in research-led teaching is equally valued by our students.

“At Royal Holloway we are passionate about knowledge and committed to supporting every student to succeed.  I am delighted that our students have given us such a high satisfaction rating.”

*The universities of Oxford and Cambridge are part of the Russell Group but are not represented in the published NSS data.
