The For What Matters fund offers us the flexibility to allocate funds where they will have the greatest impact on students.
Donations contribute to initiatives that provide access to education, support in times of crisis and opportunities that will enable students to develop the skills and confidence to shape their futures and positively impact the world.
If you would like to support this, or another, priority area you can do securely online or contact philanthropy@royalholloway.ac.uk
The fund supports
Scholarships
Scholarships offer students the opportunity to be part of our community and provide support to help them achieve their goals. The For What Matters fund will contribute to the funding of Music, Sports and Sanctuary scholarships in the 2024/25 financial year.
Students experiencing financial difficulty
The For What Matters fund contributes to grants for students experiencing financial difficulty. These grants can help to meet a student’s immediate needs, relieving stress and providing some much-needed breathing space to enable the student to seek advice and support to find a way forward.
Students directly impacted by global crises
Grants to students who have been directly impacted by a global crisis such as conflict or natural disaster can be a lifeline, enabling them to continue their studies. In addition to hope for their future, this provides safety and stability at a distressing time. This is an area increasingly in need of our support.
