Our friendly and experienced staff offer tailored support to help you boost your employability and prepare for your career ahead. You'll be supported to build your employability through our unique, research-driven programme, CVstac. It identifies the skills that employers are looking for, which you gain through your course and other activities, and helps you articulate your achievements as you search for graduate employment. You can read more about this here.
Our Careers Service are available to provide advice, guidance and support regarding your career, placements, volunteering and other opportunities. There are a variety of careers events going on throughout the year, from informal workshops focusing on different aspects of the job-hunting process to large-scale Careers Fairs where you can meet potential employers.
The team can also help you find a part-time job alongside your degree to help fund your studies, whether that's one of the many roles available on campus or with a business in the local area. The maximum number of hours a student can work is 20 per week during term-time.
