Welcome to Social Work

We have a long tradition of successful social work education and research. We aim to deliver high quality teaching and research outputs and to support research-informed practice. The attempt to break down traditional barriers between academics, practitioners and policymakers to ensure the best learning experience for our students. Our diverse staff and students reflect our commitment to inclusion and participation in social work education. We are committed to developing critically reflective practitioners who can provide effective social work provision for the most vulnerable in our society within an anti-oppressive and critical social work framework.

Our supportive and diverse learning environment receives excellent feedback and many of our students continue their advanced training and research with us. We offer strong partnerships across London, which offers a large variety of placements in a multitude of settings. You'll be taught at the Royal Holloway London Graduate School by highly qualified staff, who's teaching is informed by our research. By developing a solid grounding in integrating social work theory into practice, you'll possess the critical tools needed for a successful graduate occupation.
