COP28 will bring together governments and leaders to discuss the importance, challenges, and opportunities in adopting a synergetic approach in the design and implementation of national climate and biodiversity plans and strategies.
In support of achieving the goals of both the Paris Agreement and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, as well as the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
Cross-cutting themes for the events include: technology and innovation, inclusion, frontline communities and finance to be considered in relation to climate action, health, gender equality, energy, environmental and social justice, education, youth, land use, food security, agriculture and nature.
