As the Winter Term came to a close, teams of year 1 and 2 Electronic Engineering students put the finishing touches to their projects in preparation for the Dragons’ Den presentation.  Year 1 students were asked to design a restaurant table centrepiece, while year 2 students created an autonomous sorting system for coloured balls.  From producing complex 3D printed structures to utilising the simplicity of a cardboard tube, everyone rose to the challenge with great enthusiasm, producing a number of creative and diverse designs.  Each design was demonstrated to a panel of industry experts, who chose winners for each year group and also gave insight into the priorities of projects in successful engineering companies.
