HistoryHub

HistoryHub

Providing Learning Resources for Key Stage 4 History.

The HistoryHub was created as part of  The Citizen’s Project (Citizens: 800 years in the making) a National Lottery Heritage Fund supported project led by Royal Holloway, University of London. Citizens explored the history of liberty, protest, rebellion and reform from Magna Carta to the Suffragettes and beyond, and was led by Dr Matthew Smith, supported by Dr Claire Kennan, Steven Franklin and Dr Katie Carpenter. The videos feature experts and primary source material from a range of partner organisations, including the Parliamentary Archives, the History of Parliament Trust, The National Archive, the People’s History Museum and the LSE Women’s Library.

There are three main types of resources: presenter led resources (including animations and archive images), short animated explainer videos for particular events, movements or concepts, and dramatized speeches and other primary source material.

These videos have been aligned to complement the topics covered in GCSE History options, namely AQA Power and the People c1170 to the present day, OCR’s Power: Monarchy and Democracy c1000 to 2007 and EdExcel’s British Depth Studies.

If there is a subject you would like to see more on please do get in contact.
