New MA Scholarships for 2018/19

The Department of History is pleased to offer a number of scholarships to new Masters students commencing their studies in September 2018, including the newly-established Brian Harris Scholarship:

  • One Brian Harris scholarship, available to a new full-time Masters student living and educated in the UK studying an MA History degree. A strong preference will be given to students who have been educated in UK government-funded schools. The scholarship is offered as a full tuition fee waiver plus £15,300 for living, research and travel costs.
  • One David Cesarani, Kobler scholarship, available to a full-time student with Home/EU fee status studying an MA Holocaust Studies degree. The scholarship is available as £10,000 to cover tuition fees and a contribution towards living costs.
  • One Dinah and Jessica Nichols MA scholarship, open to a full-time student studying for a Masters degree in the department. The scholarship covers tuition fees and part maintenance, to the sum of £12,000 per year.
  • Three Herringham MA scholarships, open to full-time students studying a Masters degree in the department. The scholarship is available as a £7,200 tuition fee waiver.
  • One Dr Pirkko Koppinen scholarship, open to a current or former RHUL student from the departments of English or History who will be studying a full-time Masters degree in Medieval Studies. This scholarship covers tuition fees and part maintenance, to the sum of £12,000 per year.

Please note that these awards will normally be allocated to PhD-track students, who has either achieved, or are expected to achieve a First Class degree or equivalent. For full applicaiton details, please click on the links above. Applications must be received by 16 March 2018.
