Professor Keith Mayes of Royal Holloway, University of London has been elected as Vice-Chair of the International Cyber Security Center of Excellence (INCS-CoE).
The founding charter members of INCS-CoE are six universities located in the US, the UK and Japan, and the mission of INCS-CoE is to pioneer efforts worldwide to address challenges created by the growing borderless digital society. The group is progressing international education and research agendas and has organised events, including the recent inaugural Country-2-Country 2020 (C2C 2020) online Capture the Flag competition hosted by Royal Holloway.
Alongside Professor Mayes’ election, Professor David Luzzi (Northeastern University, USA) progresses from Vice-Chair to Chair for 2021, with Professor Satoru Tezuka (Keio University, Japan) taking the role of Immediate Past-Chair. On Professor Mayes’ appointment, Professor Luzzi commented:
"Under the terms of the INCS‐CoE Charter, Keith will serve as Vice Chair in 2021, and then as Chair of the Board in 2022.
