The conference was held online on 14th December 2022 and brought together around 150 social workers and other mental health practitioners to explore current issues in mental health policy and practice.

Rich’s presentation examined some of the harmful effects of neoliberal logics within community mental health services for both service users and practitioners, but also the potential for campaigning alliances to challenge these. Rich presented findings alongside Trish Stoll, an expert by experience consultant, who responded to themes from the book from a service user and activist perspective.
