FacultiNet is a media library containing interviews of leading academics from around the world (including Nobel Laureates) who explain their work in simple terms for students. The website also contains news, analysis, facts and figures. The website works with academics, professionals and policy organisations as well as PhD students to bring new research insights to students.

In the short video interview (available here), Dr Rita D’Alton-Harrison discusses some of the problems in the legal drafting of section 54 of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 2008 by using the case of Re X as an example. Rita explains why judge made law can be problematic especially when interpreting legislation. Finally, Rita also challenges the use of statutory interpretation to rewrite clear words and phrases within legislation.
