Professor Giovanni Travaglino was invited to visit the University of Palermo in Italy. During the visit, Professor Travaglino will lead a workshop titled “Politics beyond the state: Civic capital, trust, and secret power”. The workshop will be an opportunity for students and faculty to engage in meaningful discussions on the latest research conducted at the Institute for the Study of Power, Crime, and Society.

In addition to delivering the workshop, Professor Travaglino will use the visit to strengthen research links between the Institute and the University of Palermo. The visit will provide an opportunity to continue with the planning for the data collection in Italy, as part of the ongoing research project, Secret Power.
