Georgia Harbor-Collins won the Martin Holloway Prize and writes about her time at Royal Holloway: “I [liked] all of my courses but I […] really liked Topology, Non-Linear Dynamical Systems, and Fluid Dynamics right from the get-go. I just thought that the lectures were really fun”. Georgia is continuing her career in mathematics by pursing an MSc in Pure Mathematics at Imperial.

In addition to the college prizes, our student Stergious Koutsioumpas won two departmental prizes and a prize from the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), and Olivia Byrne and Lucy Thompson both won University of London Prizes.

Stergios is continuing his studies at Royal Holloway and starting a PhD in Quantum Computation under the supervision of Dr Alastair Kay in Autumn. He writes: “Getting the opportunity to do research projects at Royal Holloway has highlighted my interests and been an amazing experience!’’ Olivia is pursuing a career in accountancy and writes “What I enjoyed most about my time at Royal Holloway was the relationships I made, not only with students but with lecturers too”.

Congratulations to all our prizewinners!
