The Women in Mathematics Day is celebrated every year around the 12th May. This is the birthday of Maryam Mirzakhani, the first and only woman to win the Fields medal. We will join this year's events by watching the movie "Picture a Scientist" together on the 13th May at 6pm. Everyone is welcome but you have to register by May 6th.

Royal Holloway also contributed to the video "Words of women in mathematics in the time of Corona" which will be released on May 12th. This video collects words of some 86 women in mathematics from 37 countries telling about their experience in the time of Corona in 25
different languages. This video is a  follow up of the film "Faces of  Women in
Mathematics”.
