Royal Holloway’s Media Arts graduates are equipped with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required to enter an extremely competitive job market.

92% of our graduates are employed or go onto further study within six months of graduating (DLHE 2017). A degree in Media Arts gives students a range of valuable transferable skills, thereby lending itself to roles in a diverse range of industries, both directly and indirectly related.

Recent graduates are now working as directors or producers, in marketing, in broadcasting, as TV camera operators, researchers and authors. Employers include the BBC, Left Bank Pictures, Duke of York’s Theatre, Christian Dior, Apple, Momentum Pictures, ITV and Warner Brothers.

Here are a few examples of the jobs our students have gone into, immediately after graduating:

  • TV/radio programme researcher
  • multimedia specialist
  • media planner
  • runner (TV/Film)
  • public relations
  • visual arts
