Giorgio Serci is an award winner guitarist, composer, arranger and lecturer. He has recorded, performed and supported Jools Holland, Shirley Bassey, Basia, David Garrett, Julian Lloyd Webber, Kenny Wheeler, Dr John, Martin Taylor, Sylvain Luc, Nigel Kennedy, Andy Sheppard, Paul Booth, Ryan Quigley, Bill Bruford, Paolo Fresu, Harvie S, CBS Orchestra, BBC concert Orchestra and the Frankfurt Philharmonie amongst others.
He has gained a MMus in Composition at Surrey University, and his music blend jazz, classical and world music with evocative melodies, world groves and contemporary classical and jazz harmonies. Since 2001, he has been a performance Senior Lecturer and Fellow of Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.
He is a visiting professor at Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at Royal Holloway University of London. He is a regular a columnist for ‘Guitar Interactive Magazine’ and for Lick Library and gave several master classes in many conservatoires around the world. He has recorded extensively as a bandleader as well as sideman. Giorgio endorses Yamaha guitars, Acus and DV Mark amplifiers.
