We are excited to welcome two new staff members to the Cyborg Soloists team, working alongside Principal Investigator, Zubin Kanga.

Caitlin Rowley (Research Administrator and Events Coordinator)

Caitlin Rowley is a composer-performer, artist and producer. Her work is playful and interdisciplinary, with recent pieces incorporating virtual reality, drawing, video and theatrical elements. Caitlin holds degrees in composition and design and is now undertaking doctoral research in interdisciplinary composition at Bath Spa University under the supervision of composer James Saunders and performance artist Robert Luzar. She is a member of the composer-performer group Bastard Assignments, with whom she creates and performs experimental music internationally and produces performances in London.

Mark Dyer (Postdoctoral Research Assistant)

Mark is a composer of experimental concert and installation music. His work explores the entanglement between borrowed material, landscape and narrative. Mark has worked with ensembles such as the Arditti Quartet, House of Bedlam and CoMA, as well as soloists Kathryn Williams and Kate Ledger. Mark completed a practice-based PhD in Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2021.

Cyborg Soloists is a UKRI-funded Future Leaders Fellowship based at the Music Department of Royal Holloway, University of London exploring interdisciplinary interactions between music and new technologies in collaboration with composers, performers, researchers, and industry partners.
