Employability Advice

Employability Advice

The Physics department takes the employability of its graduates very seriously.

The Department of Physics takes the employability of its graduates very seriously. Research suggests that students who have completed internships during the course of their degree have a distinct advantage over other graduates, and we make every effort to help you in your search for a fulfilling career after you graduate.

The Physics department and SEPnet work closely with the Careers Centre to give students the best chance to gain career experience and find employment. For example, SEPnet and Careers work together to have drop-in sessions during the Spring term for those working on applications for placements. These sessions give students the chance to have one-to-one support on their CVs and cover letters, as well as, able to get interview support and general career advice.

This page signposts you to the various support opportunities available from SEPnet and the Careers Centre.

For more advice, you can contact Jana Checkley, SEPnet Employer Engagement Advisor.

You can also contact the Careers Centre for more support.
