2022: National Physical Laboratory

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is a world-leading centre of excellence that provides cutting-edge measurement science, engineering and technology to underpin prosperity and quality of life in the UK.

The research areas at NPL are Acoustics, Communications, Environmental monitoring, Materials, Time and frequency, Biosciences, Data science, Graphene, Medical physics, Chemical analysis, Engineering, Ionising radiation, and Quantum.

 

Stefan Stoica completed an 8-week placement at the National Physical Laboratory. His project was using VBA Macros for improved data management and LabView to automate information Acquisition.

 

George Harvey completed a 6-week placement. His project was on Physics and Policy: Government Relations in the National Physical Laboratory.
