What do you like the most about the Psychology department at Royal Holloway?

There is such a strong feeling of comradery, which makes everyone feel part of a team. Considering how hard everyone works, it is important to be able to have a laugh with your colleagues and enjoy some downtime and I really feel that the department encourages this.

Can you tell us a little about the teaching you will be doing?

I will be teaching on the first and second year UG courses; this will include a combination of stats and the first year bootcamps.

What is your favourite aspect of teaching?

Instilling a passion for learning and excitement for the future in students. None of us would be where we are now if it wasn’t for some great mentors along the way and I feel that teaching is a lovely opportunity to continue that process.

What do you do outside of work?

Dancing, yoga and cooking. I started dancing when I was 2 and it has always been my escape from the busyness of life. I got into yoga a few years ago and have been hooked on ‘Yoga with Adriene’ since lockdown. I also love cooking and trying out new recipes; drinking wine simultaneously is a free pass to eternal happiness.
