Department of Social Work Lecturer Karl Mason, alongside colleagues from UEA and University of Strathclyde, has published an important article in the Journal of Social Work Education.
The article reviews the implications of a Court of Appeal Judgment for the social work classroom when working with the complex dynamics between sexuality and religion. Really important topics for social work students, practitioners and academics to engage with, this case has implications for social work curricula, styles of teaching, the management of fitness to practice processes and importantly the experience of LGBTQ+ students. This paper highlights the need for social work education to continue to address sexuality as a social justice issue.
