Disability and neurodiversity support

Disability and neurodiversity support

We are proud of our diverse community at Royal Holloway and we'll work with you to provide the support you need to make the most out of university life.

Our team is dedicated to supporting your disability or neurodiversity needs. We can help with exam arrangements, academic and library support, diagnostic assessments and accessing disabled students' allowance (DSA) as well as making any other reasonable adjustments you require while you're with us.

Once you've confirmed Royal Holloway as your first choice of university, we recommend you get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can get started on organising the support you need. You can email us or call us on +44 (0)1784 414621.

To find out about the accessibility of our campus and to take a virtual tour, please visit AccessAble which includes a comprehensive series of access guides and accessible routes around campus.

Ways we can help

We can put arrangements in place for you according to any recommendations from an appropriately qualified professional, or according to our standard arrangements.

If you need any reasonable adjustments to help you with university life, our team will help communicate these to your academic departments and any other relevant teams at Royal Holloway.

We can provide referrals for students with a specific learning difficulty, if evidence provided is deemed insufficient for Disability and Neurodiversity registration or for Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) (please note fees may apply).

We can help you with your application for DSA and with putting in place any recommended support, once your DSA has been approved.

We can provide additional study support such as lecture recordings, accessibility to course materials and help with applying for work placements. Our library also has dedicated support including extended book loans, appointments with library information consultants and an alternative formats service.

We offer a range of adapted accommodation in our halls of residence. We recommend a pre-arrival visit to our accommodation to make sure we fully understand your needs. Please contact us to arrange a visit or find out more about our adapted accommodation.
