Khurshid Alam

I am a teaching fellow of the Department of Foundation Studies.

I teach on the Integrated Foundation Degree (science strand). I teach the modules “Python programming” and “Mathematics”. My teaching philosophy is to develop every student to reach his/her full potential. In this regard, I teach students with varying academic abilities, including those without advance programming and maths qualifications.

Prior to joining Royal Holloway University, I taught foundation maths in the University of Leicester’s foundation programme. This involved teaching international students from across the globe with diverse range of academic abilities and qualifications.

I have a MSc in Computer Science from the Wolverhampton University. I also have a BSc in Computing and Information Systems from the University of London, Goldsmith College.

I am very passionate about coding, and I love learning about new technologies. In spare time, I enjoy reading.
