The Darkside-20k experiment will search for dark matter particles with the use of a liquid argon time projection chamber. Signals in the detector will be detected by arrays of SiPMs, an increasingly popular choice for such detectors, due to their advantages over the alternatives. A thorough programme of testing and characterisation will be carried out on these SiPMs, with UK efforts focused on those which will be used in the neutron veto. Several test stands will be used for this purpose, including one currently being prepared at Edinburgh university which will use liquid nitrogen to test the performance of the SiPMs at cryogenic temperatures. I will talk about the design and implementation of this test stand as well as the role of SiPMs in the Darkside-20k detector as a whole.
