Social Science Network Lunch

The next Social Science Impact Lunch which will take place 12:00 – 1:30pm on Monday 30th September in the Event Space, Emily Wilding Davison building 

These events are an opportunity to network with the Royal Holloway social science community, hear from project leads about their impact work, and learn more about the Social Science Impact Accelerator (SSIA). Please note both PhD students and academic staff are welcome to join, and there will be relevant information shared for both groups. 

We will begin with lunch and introductions and then move on to lightening presentations. Speakers include:

Storytelling with Impact series

Please join us for our Storytelling with Impact series of workshops this autumn term. Each workshop is run by external experts and will take place at our Egham campus. You can sign up for one, two or all three of the sessions.

Who is this for?

This series is open to all Social Sciences, Humanities and the Arts for People and the Economy (SHAPE) researchers.

What can storytelling be used for?

  • Influencing potential non-academic partners
  • Creating exciting new ways to share your research
  • Delivering engaging presentations to a range of audiences
  • Writing persuasive grant applications and funder reports
  • Enhancing REF case studies

Impact mentoring

Are you interested in volunteering to be an impact mentor for another social scientist at Royal Holloway? Or, would you like to sign up to be a mentee to learn from a colleague and develop your skills and confidence to do impact? 

Register below and we will do our best to match you with a colleague based on skills and experience.

There is no time commitment, but we recommend termly meetings to make the best of the relationship.
