Founder's Building

In 1886, Queen Victoria opened the Founder’s Building, an architectural masterpiece and grade one listed building, which today continues to occupy the heart of campus life. It is also home to our famous Picture Gallery, housing a fine collection of Victorian paintings.

Runnymede

Take in exquisite views of Runnymede meadow, Windsor Castle and London from the Air Forces Memorial - a short walk from campus. Magna Carta was sealed on Runnymede in 1215.

Historic Windsor

Windsor Castle is the oldest and the largest inhabited castle in the world. It is the Queen's favourite residence, the site of Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex's wedding and it is open to the public.

London

Royal Holloway has the best of both worlds: a safe and leafy campus community, as well as close connections with London. Our campus is 40 minutes from central London by train, where you can visit the British Museum, the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London and many more historic sites.
