Environmental sustainability at Royal Holloway

At Royal Holloway we’re united in our response to the climate and biodiversity crises.

Welcome!

At Royal Holloway, we’re united in our response to the climate and biodiversity crises.

We declared a climate emergency in 2019 and our University strategy, RH2030s, commits us to embedding environmental sustainability across everything we do.

This includes:

  • Promoting Education for Sustainable Development across the curriculum to equip our community with the skills to mitigate the climate crisis.
  • Supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through research and partnerships.
  • Achieving Net Zero.
  • Continuing waste reduction.
  • Improving water efficiency.
  • Increasing biodiversity and climate resilience on campus

Please explore our Environmental Sustainability web pages to find out more about our progress and the people who lead our work.
