We have many exciting opportunities to find out more about postgraduate study at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Events take place both online and in person, so there is something to suit everyone.
Our Postgraduate Open Afternoons offer you the ability to come and explore our Egham and Central London campuses in person and our Postgraduate Online Events emulate the Open Afternoon experience online.
Postgraduate Webinars provide an all-you-need-to-know guide to applying for postgraduate study in a single hour-long session and Postgraduate Taster Lectures, run by some of our world-leading academic staff, introduce you to key themes and ideas you're likely to explore at postgraduate level. We also run subject-specific Focus Weeks on our social media channels.

Egham campus
If you prefer to meet in person then please email and we'd be happy to arrange a time to meet on campus.
Our postgraduate recruitment manager regularly holds on-campus study surgeries, to answer your questions about postgraduate study. Work out which course is right for you, ask about the application process, funding, life as a student, or anything else that you’d like answering.
These sessions are held on the ground floor of the Emily Wilding Davison Building every second Wednesday, beginning 9 February. There is no need to book, but please do email ahead if you would like to check dates or ask any questions in advance.
Central London Campus
Unfortunately we are unable to hold in person meetings at our Central London campus without prior notice. If you would like to meet us in central London then please email and we will aim to set this up for you.
Postgraduate event FAQs
Where can I park my car?
Egham campus
Parking is free for all guests at the Open Evenings and Postgraduate visit afternoons. We will be in touch closer to the event to advise which parking has been allocated to you.
Central London campus
Parking is limited in London, so we recommend using public transportation if possible. If you are driving then there is a number of car parks in the local area and we advise you carry out your own research into these prior to travelling.
How do I get to Royal Holloway from the train station?
Egham campus
The nearest train station is Egham and Royal Holloway operates a shuttle system that runs from the station to campus most of the year. The main campus is around a 20 minute walk from Egham train station and it is also serviced by the number 8 and 441 local buses.
Central London campus
Our Central London campus is located at 11 Bedford Square, Stewart House and Senate House. Nearby Underground stations include: Tottenham Court Road (Central and Northern lines), Goodge Street (Northern Line), Holborn (Central and Piccadilly lines), Russell Square (Piccadilly line), Euston Square (Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines). It can also be access by numerous bus routes, we recommend using Transport for London’s journey planner for specific routes.
Do I need to print my ticket?
You don't need to print your ticket, simply turn up on the evening and we will look up your ticket by the name you booked with.
Do my guests need tickets?
No, you won't need to book separate tickets for your guests. Do bring along any friends or family who you would like to share the day with, but please note that in some of our busier talks we may have to implement a one guest per visitor system.
Where can I see the programme for an Open Evening?
Our programme for the Open Evening will be released before the event via email. It's a great idea to plan your visit and have a think about the talks you would like to attend, but don't worry as you do not have to book any sessions in advance (unless you would like to book a session with our Admissions Team to receive an 'on the spot' offer to study with us, available for selected courses).
How can I change my details on the Eventbrite booking system?
You can amend your booking by logging on to the Eventbrite website by clicking ‘Tickets’ from the drop-down menu under your name, select the ticket and then 'edit'. If you'd prefer, email PGEvents@royalholloway.ac.uk and we can do this for you.
