Careers support from day one

We want you to thrive when you graduate and that work starts as soon as you join us.

Our team of careers experts go above and beyond to help you prepare for your future after you graduate and work directly with staff in our academic departments to make sure you have a full package of support. You’ll be able to book one-to-one appointments to help you evaluate your skills, explore ideas and put together a career journey plan. Our practical support also includes CV, cover letter and job application checks.

Student entrepreneurship service

If you're a budding entrepreneur, university can be a great opportunity for making your ideas become a reality. We support your ambitions by offering one-to-one appointments with our Enterprise Manager, as well as running a series of workshops covering topics including financial planning, pitching to investors and creating a business strategy.

Part-time jobs

Our location means finding a part-time job can be easy. We have great working relationships with local businesses and organisations who are keen to employ our students and we also host a bustling part-time jobs fair, where you’ll be able to see what opportunities are available and chat to employers directly. There’s also a great choice of roles available on our Egham campus, from working in one of our cafes to becoming a student ambassador.

Inspiring events

Our Careers Fair is always popular and gives you the chance to have some meaningful conversations with companies from a wide range of sectors. We also give you the chance to hear success stories from our past students and how their experience at Royal Holloway has helped them in their career, and hold regular alumni events where you’ll be able to hear directly from former students and learn more about their different career journeys.

Browse through our many Graduate Profiles on our website under your subject of interest to discover where some of our former students are now.

Find out more about our Careers Fairs or join us at our next Open Day to find out how we support your growth and education and prepare you for your chosen career path.
