The Messy Coach: Boosting Academic Confidence

If you’ve ever experienced moments of imposter syndrome or low confidence, you’ve come to the right place. This workshop will support you to break free from self-doubt, rediscover your strengths and step into your most confident PhD self.

We’ll dive into what’s really happening, mentally and emotionally, when imposter syndrome strikes. Drawing from research in neuroscience and positive intelligence, you’ll gain insight into the internal and external triggers that fuel these feelings, and learn how to shift your mindset into much better-feeling states.

The workshop offers practical strategies and tools to meet moments of doubt with self-kindness and equanimity. You’ll leave with actionable steps to identify your strengths, celebrate your accomplishments, and build an unwavering level of confidence - in yourself, your research and career.

For those open to it, the session will also include personalised coaching: you’ll be invited to share your current confidence challenges and receive tailored advice to respond healthily to those doubts and maintain confidence throughout your doctoral journey.

This is your opportunity to reclaim your confidence and start feeling super solid about your research!
