Student-led Events Funding

Techne has funding available to support Student-led Events. These must be organised by at least 3 students from more than one Techne institution and can have a budget of up to £1,000. Student-led events or initiatives may include but are not limited to: symposia, performances, workshops, poster days, exhibitions, public engagement events or awaydays.

The next deadline for applications to organise and run a Student-Led Event is 20 December 2024. The next deadline is expected to be around the end of April 2025, and further information about this will be sent in due course.

If you wish to apply, you will need to complete both the main application form and the Techne Event Equalities Impact Assessment. Applications should be sent to techne@rhul.ac.uk with ‘Student-Led Event Funding Application’ in the subject field. All applications will be acknowledged, and considered by the Techne Training Group.

Full guidance about Student-Led Events and how to apply is available here. There are typically two deadlines for applications through the year, to coincide with meetings of the Techne Training Group and therefore details of the next deadline will be circulated by email in due course.

Techne students can also apply to run the annual Student Led Conference which normally takes place in November each year. An organising committee for the 2024 has already been set up, and further information about this year's event is available here
