Immersive Storytelling Research Training

This unique training opportunity is aimed at researchers interested exploring the potential of immersive storytelling by designing virtual and augmented reality experiences. Complete newcomers to VR are welcome, as are all subjects and themes. You will research into practices and applications of digital storytelling, audience participation, immersive experiences, and immersive learning.

The event will be run by Amy Rose, co-founder of ANAGRAM, an award-winning creative studio specialising in thought-provoking interactive storytelling and immersive experience design. Emmy-nominated and winners of the Grand Jury Prize for Best VR Work at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival. Anagram have previously been awarded the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival Storyscapes Award, the 2019 Sandbox Immersive Art Award, part of the Best VR in 2019 at the Venice International Film Festival.

The event is hosted by the Immersive Lab at Kingston School of Art, a practice-based research environment encompassing Virtual, Augmented and Mixed reality technologies (VR, AR and XR). Participants will be given the opportunity to develop projects and proposals conceptually and practically in a supportive space with individual and group feedback opportunities from a highly acclaimed director and producer.
